Uniting in Corporate Fasting
Today, we add a powerful dimension to our prayer efforts by incorporating corporate fasting into our routine. As we join our prayer partners in fasting once a week, we align our hearts and minds with God’s purposes, seeking His will and intervention in a deeper way. Let us heed the counsel, recognizing that united prayers, coupled with fasting, unleash a power greater than that of private prayer alone.
Suggested Reading:
1. Devotional Bible Verse: Joel 2:12 – “Yet even now,” declares the Lord, “return to me with all your heart, with fasting, with weeping, and with mourning.”
Reflection: Reflect on the spiritual discipline of fasting and its significance in seeking God’s presence and guidance for revival.
Ellen G. White Quote: “God’s people must take warning and discern the signs of the times. The signs of Christ’s coming are too plain to be doubted; and in view of these things everyone who professes the truth should be a living preacher, showing forth the power of the grace that Christ died to give men” (Manuscript 126, 1901).
2. Join the boiler room and follow along with their devotional reading for the day.
Day 20 Heart Challenge
1.Select a Fasting Day: Discuss with your prayer partners and decide on a specific day each week for corporate fasting, considering everyone’s availability and preferences. If you are joining with the 24/7 united prayer team, we are fasting every Wednesday or on the preferred days you are convicted to.
2.Educate on Fasting: Take time to educate yourself and your prayer partners on the spiritual significance and benefits of fasting, encouraging understanding and commitment to this spiritual discipline.
3.Prepare Physically and Spiritually: Begin preparing yourself physically and spiritually for the upcoming fasting day, seeking God’s guidance on how to best approach this time of consecration. Read and reflect Ephesians 4:3 to prepare yourself for Day 21
