Expecting Great Things from God
As we are still on step 1 on how to build a house of prayer and believe that with God all things are possible, let us contemplate on the concept of expecting great things from our Heavenly Father.
Suggested Reading:
- Devotional Reading: Read DA 668 and COL 173. Contemplate the concept of expecting great things from God and the honor it brings to Him.
- Join the boiler room and follow along with their devotional reading for that day.
“He is well pleased when they make the very highest demands upon Him, that they may glorify His name. They may expect large things if they have faith in His promises” (DA 668).
“Go forward, the Lord says; I will send you help. It is for My name’s glory that you ask, and you shall receive. I will be honored before those who are watching for your failure. They shall see My word triumph gloriously. ‘All things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.’ Matthew 21:22” (COL 173).
Day 6 Heart Challenge:
- Identify one specific area where you need to expect great things from God. Write down a prayer of expectation, believing that God will work mightily in that area.
- Throughout the day, intentionally look for moments where you can share your expectation of God’s greatness with others. Share stories of answered prayers or testimonies of God’s faithfulness to inspire and encourage those around you.
- Prayerfully reflect on how to strengthen our faith and confidence in God’s promises as we confront the challenge of doubt to prepare ourselves for Day 7. Read Mark 11:22-23.
