Strengthening Our Unity in Fasting and Prayer

Today, we deepen our commitment to unity as we engage in corporate fasting and prayer. Fasting not only aligns our hearts with God’s will but also strengthens our unity as we collectively seek His face for revival. As we join our prayer partners in fasting and prayer, let us remember the words of Joel 2:12, urging us to return to the Lord with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Today, we unite in a spirit of humility and anticipation, trusting in God’s promise to hear our prayers and bring about revival.

Suggested Reading:

1. Devotional Bible Verse: Acts 13:2-3 – “While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, ‘Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.’ So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.”

Reflection: Reflect on the biblical examples of fasting and prayer, considering how they were used to discern God’s will and empower His servants for ministry.

Ellen G. White Quote: “Now and onward till the close of time the people of God should be more earnest, more wide- awake, not trusting in their own wisdom, but in the wisdom of their Leader. They should set aside days for fasting and prayer” (Ellen G. White, Review and Herald, Feb. 11, 1904).
